Apple Ipod Touch 1St And 2Nd Gen

Considered the little cousin of the revolutionary iPhone, the iPod touch shares many features with the iPhone. The revamped user interface is unlike anything you have ever seen. The large 3.5 inch multi-touch screen is very responsive and wonderful to use.

The fifteen apps preloaded on the iPod touch are very useful and fully thought out. Mobile Safari gives you the internet in your hands. YouTube lets you watch YouTube videos on a large, bright 3.5" screen. Weather, Google Maps, and Stocks are all useful applications that anyone could use everyday.

The notes, clock, calculator, and calendar apps bring out the PDA functionality of the iPod touch. The iTunes Music Store app lets you buy music right from your iPod touch over Wi-fi so you can listen to your music as soon as its done downloading. The mail app lets you set up your email accounts from services like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL, Microsoft Exchange, and Apple's own Mobile Me.

The Photos apps serves its purpose of storing and displaying photos on the beautiful 3.5 touch screen. Since the iPod touch does not have a camera like the iPhone, the only way to add pictures to the device is by syncing with iPhotos through iTunes. The process is as simple and seamless as syncing music.

The three standard iPod apps, music, video, and photo, do exactly what they have done in the past except better. You can now scroll through your music in Cover flow, displaying album artwork. Videos can now be taken with you anywhere and can be watched on a beautiful 480X320 resolution supported screen.

The newly added Appstore allows you to download both free and paid third party apps. This includes apps like games to apps such as Facebook, Fring, and much more. The 2nd generation iPod touch now has microphone support with Apple even selling their own microphone featured earphones.

The whole iPod has been updated to look more like the iPhone 3G. The external speaker is great for games and other apps, which you can download for free or purchase on the Appstore. The internals have also been updated, and now the device has similar specs as its older brother. The updated internals allows you to take advantage of the many apps on the Appstore.

Overall, if the first generation iPod touch was not good enough, the second one surely will be.
