Not For The Timid- Interactive Online Ouija! Do You Dare?

The Ouija Board has been used both as a toy and as a means of receiving messages or answers to questions.

Others have held that the messages are not true messages, but are the result of muscular tension and unconscious direction of the hand.

Whether or not either group is correct, the Ouija Board is a source of much enjoyment and the messages can cause much merriment when a group is assembled for a pleasant evening.

The Ouija Board consists of a flat board approximately eighteen inches wide and thirty inches long, with a very smooth surface. On the surface the letters of the alphabet are printed, beginning on the left with A and running in two arched rows across the board. At the bottom of the board is the sentence, Good Bye. More complicated boards may have other sentences in addition to the one suggested.

There is also a small planchette or three-legged table about one-inch high and shaped in the form of a heart about six inches long. Near the tip of the planchette is a round hole about the size of a silver dollar and covered with transparent material. In the center of this hole is an opening through which a pin is suspended. The table is equipped with felt pads on each leg to make movement as easy as possible.

To use the board, two people sit facing each other and rest the board on their knees. Then each puts the tips of the fingers of both hands on the planchette. To make the board work most accurately, there must be complete quiet. Further, the party asking the question must concentrate on the question he wishes to ask. Do not tell your question to anyone. You may write it down on a piece of paper and hide the paper where no one will see it. The other party working with you should not know the question.

Usually you will have to sit quiet and concentrate for about five minutes. Do not consciously push or pull the planchette. Permit it to move of its own accord. After a while it will begin to move over the letters on the board and will stop every now and then directly over a letter. The letter indicated will be directly under the pin in the planchette. As it moves it will spell out the answer to your question.

It is not well for one to work for more than half an hour with a Ouija Board, since the concentration necessary may cause a headache or other physical discomfort.

Tarot Cards-What's The Harm Right?

Tarot Cards: What Are They? Tarot cards, sometimes called "the book of divination of the gypsies," are known traditionally as a deck of 78 cards with various pictures on them. They have been used for hundreds of years to reveal hidden truths about and foresee the future of the person receiving the card reading. Tarot card decks come in many varieties-one online tarot card encyclopedia lists 70 major varieties of tarot cards ranging from "Tarot of the Cat People" to "Halloween Tarot" to "Dali Universal Tarot" designed by the famous artist, Salvador Dali. There is much speculation over the origin of tarot cards. Did they really originate with the gypsies, or did they come from medieval Europe? Others have maintained that tarot cards came from China or ancient Egypt. A few decades ago, tarot cards were instantly associated with gypsies, but today the cards are just as popular among occultists and New Agers. Whatever their origin, there doesn't seem to be any argument that after being introduced to Western Europe in the 14th or 15th century, their use has spread, and today they can be found all over the world.

Tarot Cards: What's in a Deck? The tarot card deck is made up of essentially two parts: 56 pictorial cards that are surprisingly similar to a regular deck of playing cards and 22 additional cards called the major arcane. These cards include pictures with names such as the Fool, the Devil, Temperance, the Hermit, the Sun, the Lovers, the Juggler, the Hanged Man, and Death. Those who believe in tarot and have their cards read regularly say that the readings help them prepare for the future by not only revealing truths about their lives, but also by divulging secrets about people all around them. Experienced psychic tarot card readers claim that they are the only ones who can deliver a truthful reading and caution against just reading interpretations out of the book that comes with the cards. In order to get the best reading from the cards, the one who desires the reading must concentrate on the cards with the psychic reader, and the psychic reader helps that person make contact with the cards and put their own "special vibration" on the deck so the cards will reveal all their mysteries. Readers of tarot cards lay the cards out in special combinations called spreads. In these spreads, it becomes possible for the reader to see a detailed, pictorial representation of the situation for which their client has come to them. In a traditional 10-card spread called the Celtic Cross, a reader can look at the positions of the cards and determine what past actions have contributed to or caused the situation, and based on current events in the client's life, and the "energy" of the cards, what will most likely occur in the future.

However, in another sense, it is very much a religion (or some would say obsession) when it becomes a practice or activity that someone is completely devoted to. In fact, there are many people who place tarot cards in the same category as other occult fortune-telling techniques such as the ouija board, astrology, crystal balls, palmistry, and tea leaves. Not For The Timid- Interactive Online Ouija! Do You Dare?

The Ouija Board has been used both as a toy and as a means of receiving messages or answers to questions.

A Ouija Board is a Medium through which direct contact with our dearly departed loved ones is made! Used by many Spiritualists, Psychic Mediums,and Paranormal Investigators all around the world!

A great deal of discussion has taken place as to whether or not the messages and answers are authentic communications from the spirits of the dead. Many Spiritualists and investigators into the occult have held that the board is a means for making direct contact with the dead and that the messages which are spelled out are from the dead.

Others have held that the messages are not true messages, but are the result of muscular tension and unconscious direction of the hand.

Whether or not either group is correct, the Ouija Board is a source of much enjoyment and the messages can cause much merriment when a group is assembled for a pleasant evening.

The Ouija Board consists of a flat board approximately eighteen inches wide and thirty inches long, with a very smooth surface. On the surface the letters of the alphabet are printed, beginning on the left with A and running in two arched rows across the board. At the bottom of the board is the sentence, Good Bye. More complicated boards may have other sentences in addition to the one suggested.

There is also a small planchette or three-legged table about one-inch high and shaped in the form of a heart about six inches long. Near the tip of the planchette is a round hole about the size of a silver dollar and covered with transparent material. In the center of this hole is an opening through which a pin is suspended. The table is equipped with felt pads on each leg to make movement as easy as possible.

To use the board, two people sit facing each other and rest the board on their knees. Then each puts the tips of the fingers of both hands on the planchette. To make the board work most accurately, there must be complete quiet. Further, the party asking the question must concentrate on the question he wishes to ask. Do not tell your question to anyone. You may write it down on a piece of paper and hide the paper where no one will see it. The other party working with you should not know the question.

Usually you will have to sit quiet and concentrate for about five minutes. Do not consciously push or pull the planchette. Permit it to move of its own accord. After a while it will begin to move over the letters on the board and will stop every now and then directly over a letter. The letter indicated will be directly under the pin in the planchette. As it moves it will spell out the answer to your question.

It is not well for one to work for more than half an hour with a Ouija Board, since the concentration necessary may cause a headache or other physical discomfort.

Facebook users are being duped into unwittingly spreading spam by clicking on what looks like a link to news entitled "First Exposure: iPhone 5."A version of the scam, exploiting peoples' interest in the next-generation iPhone, went around Facebook earlier this month, and it's back today with minor changes.The scam starts when you see someone in your social network comment on a link in a post that looks like it leads to a news story about the iPhone 5 at a Web address of "greatlakesnews.info." Clicking on the link takes you to a different Web page, which provides a captcha window where you're asked to verify a word, ostensibly to prove that you are not an automated bot.

Once you click to verify, a message is posted to your Facebook stream notifying all your friends that you commented on the item and providing them with the bogus iPhone 5 link, in a type of attack known as "clickjacking." Then you're asked to choose from a list of items that then lead to a survey which is really marketing, according to this M86 post.Clickjacking can be a problem on any Web site, but social networks are particularly susceptible because people share so many links. Facebook's advice to not click on strange links even if they are from friends would cut out many of the legitimate links people share on Facebook.It's good idea to try to avoid getting news from sources that aren't known news sites. But a big red flag is the captcha window--legitimate sites don't typically make you prove you're human to read a news item.

How Smart Is Your Smart Phone Choice?

In today`s busy world, people live and work differently than they did mere decades ago. Businesspeople and teenagers alike feel a constant need to be in touch with colleagues and friends. Whether it is keeping up with the stock market or finding out who asked who out on a date, the exchange of information is always flowing and no one wants to be left out of it.

Smart phones provide the solution for people who need to be in touch while they are on the go. The devices generally have phone call capability as well as a built-in organizer/calendar functionality, web browsing ability and email and texting applications. Many smart phones can run word processing and spreadsheet software, allowing a user to have a virtual office literally in the palm of his or her hand.

The options are wide and varied in terms of features and price. A selection of top Smart Phone choices include: Apple iPhone 3GS, Motorola Droid, HTC Touch Pro2, Blackberry Bold 9700 and the Palm Pre. They have some shared features and each has its own unique attributes.

Some see Apple`s iPhone as the ultimate Smart Phone. Many people eagerly anticipated the original version`s entrance to the market and Apple did not disappoint. The 3GS, the newest version, is worth its price tag. It is very slim and lightweight and has an attractive looking touchscreen with large icons. Everything you could need is at your fingertips, from a calendar to your email to a variety of other applications that can be downloaded easily. On the downside, there have been complaints about call quality and access to the 3G network.

The Motorola Droid is a strong competitor to the iPhone, running on Google`s Android platform as opposed to Apple. The Droid has a touch screen as well as a full QWERTY keyboard, which may be easier for some people to use. The Droid is slightly larger and heavier than the iPhone, but it surpasses the iPhone in terms of call quality and picture quality on the screen.

The HTC Touch Pro is larger and heavier than the iPhone and the Droid and is also more expensive. It is more appropriate and useful for the business user as it runs Windows Mobile and comes with conference call management tools. It also has a high-quality and large touch screen as well as a pop-out QWERTY keyboard. Unlike the Droid`s keyboard which some have found unwieldy to use, the HTC Touch Pro`s keyboard manages to have enough space between the keys to make typing very easy. The phone provides excellent call quality and is a great solution for the businessperson on the go.

The Blackberry Bold complements Blackberry`s line of smart phones and adds a little more style to their selection with its sleeker design. Because the keyboard is part of the main body of the phone rather than a pop-out, the screen on the Blackberry Bold is obviously smaller than that of the iPhone, Droid or HTC Touch Pro. It is a question of personal preference, as some people would rather sacrifice the screen size for the convenience of having the keyboard always accessible. While Blackberry users are generally satisfied with the products, the web browser lags behind that of the other smart phones in terms of ease of use.

Finally, there is the Palm Pre, which has been hyped as another major competitor to the iPhone. The Palm Pre is smaller than the iPhone but with a similar look in terms of a simple touch screen. The screen provides a very high quality picture and is easy to navigate. For those that prefer the keyboard experience, there is a QWERTY keyboard that is easily accessible, although small and not so easy to use. Where the Palm Pre stands out over other smart phones is in its multi-tasking capability. It is simple to run several applications at once and easy to switch back and forth among them.

The choices are limitless when it comes to choosing a Smart Phone. As with most things, it is all about personal preferences and finding the one that has the features that best suit you.
